PERFECT MOMENTS

New Year's 2011

This time spending time with the Bolus family side in Vallejo. We take a trip and it was a rainy Saturday afternoon and throughout dinner time. Yay, for Auntie Rose's cooking she is SO good @it. Of course, she made pulutok (aka bopis). The soup she made also was good, I've had a lot of it. We watched "Romeo must Die" with Jet Li and Aaliyah. 

I liked the Almond Bread/Cake like toasted bought by Auntie Rose @Ranch 99 but I did not find it in our Ranch store here. We always have awesome food when it comes to the Bolus family. Nelson and I brought penoy na balut from the farmer's market here in DC coz' they ran out of the Chicken balut. Uncle Arnold made Morcon. Andrew's new GF also came. Frances and Anthony was there,also. 

 

 

Manny Paquiao vs Margarito

This time we watched the Manny Paquiao fight @Auntie Merly's & Uncle Arnold's home becoz' they asked us first. While the gang watched @Roland's place. We bought hot pandesal from 24th st/mission around 4pm na and the bread was still piping hot (so good---we were eating it in the car) plus Popeye's chicken. Auntie Merly even made her palabok. Of course, Manny won but Margarito (maga ito) lasted 12 rounds inspite of his eyes being swolled up-he was really beaten up.

Cherry/ApuTats/Vallejo/Vacaville

Yes,we did all of that and in that order..Nelson got up @5:30 am to play B-ball,while I get ready and we picked up Auntie Mel. Auntie Merly prepared us breakfast of fried eggs and spam coz' we did not eat yet. We tried the Nunn Better Farms which was also in Brentwood. It was so windy...can't believe it but it was sunny,also. The price was also $2.50 per lb. Their cherries was good, also. Auntie Mel and Auntie Merly really enjoyed picking cherries.

 

We took the Benicia 780 to get to the All Soul's cemetery in Benicia to visit Apu Tata and Apu Inda just to wish him a Happy Birthday actually his birthday is June 13,Sunday. We both them flowers and balloons.

 

We stopped @Popeye's to buy a chicken meal. I tasted their sweet cane ice tea and it's good! Even my nelly liked it am a fan! Auntie Rose is such a good cook and always feeding us to the brim....we had her Pancit which was my favorite (no sahog like too many veggies), the lelot she made it I liked too. After we rested a little we went to Old Navy (we did not find anything they were supposed to have a $2 sale of rib knit shirts or tank top) but I guess they were all sold out. We then went to Costco to buy diapers and wipes for Frances baby Israel. It was so HOT! I hate being hot and plus Nelson's car was black leather....ahh doesn't help. We then went to Anthony and France's home in Vacaville.

 

 
We went to the Vacaville outlet just to look around but we did not really stay that long coz' we needed to eat dinner,already. We ate @Hometown Buffett courtesy of Uncle Tony and Auntie Rose. The buffett was only $9.99 for dinner and we all liked it even Nelson. I loved the Waldorf Salad that was my favorite. We took April and Auntie Merly home and did not even go in to their home coz' it was already 9:45 pm na. At least there wasn't anymore traffic going home.         

    

       

Cherry picking with April

I woke her up early so we can go Cherry picking in Brentwood and she was excited to go. We were supposed to go with Auntie Merly and Auntie Mel but they could not do it Sunday so we just went with her instead.

We took CA-4 coming from her home in Richmond.

                 

April's Graduation

Yes, April Sarah G is graduating from Washington High School. We are so proud of her and Andrew was supposed to graduate also the following week becoz' they are about the same age. I gave Ate Leonor a ride to the graduation becoz' they are related and they were there when she graduated from middle school. Auntie Mel was already there and she caught the tail end of the graduation . I got off work around 4pm and there were so many people and parking was the pits. April was busy trying to get pictures of all her friends.

There were 500 kids that graduated from her class!! Wow!

BLD

Auntie Merly and Uncle Arnold needed help in weeding and other backyard stuff and asked Nelson whether if he could help them out. Nelson played B-ball first and we made our way to Richmond. There was no traffic. Auntie Merly already had breakfast ready for us.

BREAKFAST

Look at that yummy breakfast, she had fried some tuyo, tinapa, jeprox (some kind of a crunchy fish she bought from 99 Ranch), fried eggs and tomato for our dip. OMG, we were stuffed, I had Nelson's other 1/2 of the Manila mango which was perfectly sweet.

Here is uncle Arnold and my love who was on top of a space where you can place plants (they weeded this out first). This was really high.

MERYENDA

Auntie Merly did such a wonderful job in preparing meals for us...Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner hence my title of BLD. This was our dessert---Kamote Que and Banana cooked in brown sugar (to be chopped in circles, milk and the brown sugar syrup mixed it all with crushed ice....simply delicious.   

The two men who was so tired from all that digging and planting the plants on the ground. I assisted a little, of course by giving them the plants, putting the weeds on the green bin and giving them water.

LUNCH

 

After the guys finished up digging the hole and planting we had our lunch of Sinigang na hipon and fried chicken wings and drummette...oh man I did not want to get up! We had a chance of sleeping in the living room, April, Nelson and I...it was a good day. Auntie Merly wanted us to stay and just sleep there but we had the concert to go to that night.

DINNER

 

Roasted Beef Trip, Roasted Lamb and roasted mushroom...uhhh boy we were in heaven again. I loved, loved the mushroom! It was so juicy.

This is the facade of their home. They have beautiful views....I am so happy for them that they finally have their dream home and they are making it beautiful. April (their daughter) will be graduating next Thursday from Washington HIgh school.

Jerome's 5th Birthday

Celebrating Jerome's 5th birthday @the Larcombe Clubhouse in Daly City,CA. We (Bolus family) helped set up for the party. There were 85-100 guests and it turned out really well. Food was delicious as always they had it catered. His real birthday is April 19,2005. The party started @1pm to 4pm.

The cute mini album I made for Jerome. I used all the pictures that April took when we were in Vallejo. Lorraine loved it she said she almost cried and her friends loved it,also coz' they all wanted to sign in.

Of course, my cute hubsters helped out a lot...he is a pro for setting up food coz' he was a waiter in the Philippines as one of his many jobs that he held there.

Vegas Bolus visits CA Bolus

It's sorta a mini family Reunion for the Bolus Family since we were celebrating Jerome's 5th Birthday which was being held @the Larcombe Clubhouse on April 18,2010 Sunday.

Nelson made Pancit as the family requested it. We also slept there Saturday night. When Nelson and I got to Richmond, The Vegas Bolus was just behind us and then Uncle Tony and Auntie Rose arrived also.

Here is the spread of our lunch...I love,love the chicken wings that Auntie Merly made and the Lumpia veggie that Mai2 made for us for free!

Yay, I am actually in one of the pics coz' hubby took this one of us with the cousins and aunties.

Kuwentuhan ng mga boyz'. It was kinda hard to sleep if your not on your own bed but totally worth it coz' we got to hang out with the Bolus family from Vegas. Lorraine and April spent a day together looking for the prom dress for April's upcoming Prom in May. They found it!!      

Easter Sunday

Hubby and I got up around 6 am becoz' we had to pick up Auntie Mel here in SF and then Aunty Merly and April who lives in Richmond. We made it early for the 8 am mass in St. Vincent in Vallejo. To celebrate Easter with his side of the family and the anniversary of death of his Grandpa, Isabelo. Here are the girls on our way to the church just up that hill.

After the mass, we visited the cemetry (All Soul's Cemetery in Benicia,CA just a 5 minute drive). It was so cold that morning and it rained the whole day.

WE were going to eat in SELECTA  but it was still closed and it was already around 10:30am. So we opted for IHAW IHAW  for their breakfast buffet for $6.95 per person. They had corn beef, red salted eggs, longanisa, tocino, pancit and etc. We really love the Jeprox crunchy fish and I liked the champorado with evap milk. Auntie Merly and I halfed it for the 12 adults and 2 children. Anthony officially asked Nelson to be one of the Godfather for Frances and his 3rd baby! Wow! Nelson is already a godfather for their eldest son,Isaac and I for Isabelle. Auntie Lerma and Uncle Ding was with us.

Went to Walmart to buy the kids easter baskets. We went to Sonic to buy the Pineapple chiller and Oreo blasts for April and Andrew. We just hung out at Auntie Rose and Uncle Tony's home just to eat and watch TV. I liked the BBQ from Ihaw Ihaw. We got home around 8pm after dropping off Auntie Merly (we had the spanish roll and mocha/coffe drink) and then Auntie Mel to her home.
