PERFECT MOMENTS

Day 5/14 of my vacay

• Started my day by having Nutella sandwich and nescafe for my drink. 
• Went to Lowe's to look around at their garden section. They have cute and cheap plants that I can purchase but I did not do it coz' I didn't want it wilting inside the car. Especially I will be having lunch with Doll and just bumming around. I bought a door bell ringer which you only had to plug in to an outlet, voila you have a door bell coz' we don't have one on our door.
• I like the Cactus plants. I might purchase when the weather is better. The ones that Nelson had planted on the planter is dying the Campanula. 
• I then went to Marshall's and stayed there at least a good hour just looking for treasures that I can buy for the Town house. I was able to buy a capri jeans for only $7 in the clearance section.
• Time was running out coz' I had to meet Doll (her work nearby the Marshall's in San Bruno) around 12pm. She was the one who drove. Thank goodness coz' Echo is in much needed of cleaning. As Nelson will say Echo is ready to harvest as in Farmville!
• We were going to eat @a Chinese resto that serves Chicken Hainanese noodle soup but too bad they were close for remodeling. So, we just opted to go to the Tanforan mall which was close by and Doll only had an hour for lunch.
• Before we got off the car, Doll gave me a nice present of a pair of Owl ornaments. Perfect for my tree so cute! And a Divine chocolate candle! Thanks, Doll for the pressies and treating me out!
• We ate upstairs @the Vietnamese resto. We both had the seafood and pork noodle soup (w/c had the clear noodle), spring rolls and my thai ice tea.
• It was good catching up with her.
• 
• 
• After Doll dropped me off at her work where I parked my car, I went to Kohl's and just looked around and I bought a nice red top to be worn for our christmas eve party it was $20.
• Went home. Minutes later my luv arrived early and he installed the door bell.
• He cooked the fish ball and fried chicken and another round of the spaghetti from yesterday.
• It was sprinkling through out the day and night.
• We attended the mass @7pm again but now along with Roland and his buddy.

Tapas & a Play

For our Christmas get-together, Recie and I decided to have Tapas and watch a Christmas Play in Palo Alto. The restaurant is called Joya in Palo Alto. Our reservation was for 11:30 am. The food was awesome and the dessert even better. After eating we went to Border's just to look around.

1) Mexican Empanadas (corn and smoked mozarella)

2) Guacamole and world new chips

3) Braised short ribs Taco

4) Steamed Mussels with chorizo (which is a rip off---it was small and we did not have enough mussel meat and it was $9

5) For dessert: Mexican Tiramisu (patron coffee infused) it was delicious!

Our play was @2pm which was just nearby in Middlefield Road @the Lucille Stern Theatre. The play was called A Christmas Memory by Truman Capote (which was a true story based on his christmas memory with his beloved cousin, Sook) I loved, loved the play it was so heartwarming! I cried twice. Recie said I have to watch his movie Capote it's an interesting movie about his life. The play finished @4pm and it was pouring hard already. I loved their song about the fruitcake weather. The little boy did a great job acting actually every body did.

YOKKO Yakitori

....along with Dollace (who is treating us out for my birthday here in the Yokko Yakitori  resto in San Mateo), Me, Frincess and her friend,Tamara. Also, kinda like a farewell party for Frincess coz' she will be going to school along with Tamara a week from now to go to L.A. I never had this kind of Japanese food---where they serve the food on skewers (we had some interesting ones and some really yummy ones!) I will posts my favorite ones here.

 

               
 

Napa Valley

Glad to be off today...Mom wanted to go to Walmart in Vallejo to look for Mel's pj's but first we go to Napa Valley to see the bunches of grapes...I wanted to go to Castello Di Amarosa (but it's a steep and windy climb to get up there and my Echo will probably not make it)

The pictures that I posted here are some of my favorites...there are more pics but I won't bogged down this blog of mine with pics which can be overwhelming. My computer is groaning from all the pics I have on my iphoto...there is 15 thousand something pics in there....I have to delete and store some in a cd. \

We ate @A&W for lunch and after that headed to Walmart in American Canyon near Vallejo just to buy some stuff. Whew, it was HOT! I sure could use a frappucino.

                

Lunch with the Girlz'

Spending time and catching up with Dollace and Cess (our niece) we had lunch in Grace Garden in Burlingame. Dollace suggested this we were going to STACKS but this was a welcome change,though. I am glad that she suggested it coz' it was really good! The address:

Ahh, a mini album I made for her just this morning it took me 3 hours--the longest part was looking for pictures to cut but I succeeded coz' she loved it.

Okay, this is the delicious sweet soybean--gotta put sugar but so good even when it gets cold, yummy pig ears and spicy cucumber.

I LOVE these girls...we had such a great time just catching up and eating umami food.

The three of us eating. After we dropped off Cess @her job. Doll and I went to Pampanguena Bakery to buy the mini hopia (that Cess had suggested to us), I bought pan de ube for Ann and Okoy. Doll had bought the hopia and the Tocilog breakfast for Randy and Jr. We brought it in their house and waited a little for her mom to come and get the goodies and then we went to San Mateo to buy more sweet goodies. We went to SWEET BREAMS (Chibi Taiyaki-fish filled with different kinds of filling) in San Mateo-Cess also suggested this and Doll's co-worker. I loved the Choco-Almond and Nutella it was good! For a school of 12 it's about $5.50.

We then went to BEARD PAPA to buy cream puffs! I bought 2 Vanilla bean cream puffs which is their best flavor...I have to try the coffee. I then went home got dressed for the wedding reception of Nina and David in SSF and picked up Ann. 

 

Il Fornaio

Lunch with the sistas at Il Fornaio in Burlingame which was AWESOME!! Beautiful restaurants,too. NO wonder Recie loves Il Fornaio becoz' the food is so delicious. This is for Raquel's birthday celeb.

Hung To Restaurant

As you know I love Dim Sum...I was off for the week...Dollace and I met up for lunch. Hung To is near her place of work. I love love this restaurant coz' not only it's good the prices for the dim sum are reasonable. Dollace and I ordered so much that I have left overs to take home. For dessert we had the Mango pudding (which was not that good--too grainy and not much of a mango flavor.
